Modern Boxcar “RailBox”

This is one of our upcoming offerings. This car is one of the prototype cars. The car was powdercoated and vinyl lettering was applied. It has air brakes on Titan Trains modern trucks. The car also features a removable lid.

BNSF Coalporter

This BNSF Coalporter was one of our Coalporter kits finished out and powder coated. Vinyl lettering and panels were supplied by Highball Graphics Decals. The Trucks and couplers are from Live Steamer Parts and the car is equipped with a pass through air line.

USRA Hopper Car (PRR Class GLa)

This car was designed for SprayberryHopper.com by Quantum Coachworks. The car was assembled by us as a prototype for a future run of the USRA Hopper design. This particular car was equipped with the Pennsy style “bumper beam” on each end and a stemwinder brake wheel. The car is finished out with powdercoat and vinyl decals from Highball Graphics Decals. Cars will soon be available from SprayberryHopper.com

Nickel Plate Road Boxcar.

This car was sent to us partially completed but still in bare aluminum. It’s a Titan Trains kit that we finished out. Then we painted the car with “Breakthrough” paint from PPG, trucks, couplers and air brakes were also supplied by Titan and were disassembled and painted with Rustolium primer and flat black Finally, we applied decals supplied by Highball Decals.

Sprayberry Hoppers

Building hoppers for Sprayberry Hopper is an ongoing job. These pictures represent some of the work that goes into these cars. We assemble the cars either from kits or partially assembled shells, then we finish out the riveting (1300 rivets for each car!) and add details and an underframe. We then return the car to Sprayberry for painting and decals.

Bobber Caboose

This caboose came to us from a family friend and had been involved in a rear-end collision and the rear platform had been torn off. We replaced the platform and rebuilt the chassis of the car. Then it was painted to match the Reading bobber cabooses. The finished photos are from the Wheels of Time Museum in Allentown, PA where the car was on display for the Christmas season.
